Vanilla Cream French Toast
- 8 (1-inch) slices Challah, day old
- 1 1/2 cups whole milk
- 3 eggs, beaten
- 2 tablespoons sugar
- 1 1/2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- Vegetable oil
- Powdered sugar or maple syrup, as desired
In a shallow bowl whisk milk and eggs; mix in sugar, cinnamon, and vanilla.
Heat Presto® Electric Skillet at 350°. Brush skillet cooking surface with a light coating of vegetable oil. Dip slices, one at a time into the milk mixture, coating both sides of bread generously with mixture. Cook slices until golden, 2 1/2 to 3 1/2 minutes per side. Remove French toast and keep warm until all slices have been cooked. Serve with desired topping.
Substitute brioche or Italian bread, if desired.
