Thanksgiving Encore Stuffed Waffle
- Waffle Mixture—made with stuffing (see recipe below)
Filling per waffle
- 1/2 cup diced or sliced turkey
- 1/4 cup whole berry cranberry sauce
- Gravy, if desired for serving
Prepare waffle mixture as directed. Preheat Stuffler® stuffed waffle maker with waffle tongs in unit for 10 minutes.
Scoop 1 cup of the waffle mixture into waffle maker. With rubber spatula, spread evenly on the bottom and up along the sides to create a bowl shape. (The waffle mixture will not spread or expand as it bakes like regular waffle batter, so it's important to arrange it in an even, solid layer on the bottom and around the sides.) Fill with 1/2 cup turkey leaving a thin margin around edge. Layer in 1/4 cup cranberry sauce. Top with about 1/3 cup of additional waffle mixture. Press to seal top layer of waffle mixture to sides enclosing turkey and cranberry sauce inside. Close waffle maker and flip. Cook for 8 to 9 minutes. Remove stuffed waffle to plate. Let waffle stand for 3 minutes before cutting. Serve with gravy if desired.
