Reuben Stuffed Waffle
- Caraway Waffle Batter (see recipe below)*
Filling per waffle
- 2 slices Swiss cheese
- 1/4 cup drained sauerkraut
- 2 slices corned beef
- Thousand Island dressing, for serving
Prepare waffle batter as directed. Preheat Stuffler® stuffed waffle maker with waffle tongs in unit for 10 minutes.
Spread about 1/3 cup batter into waffle maker so bottom grids and waffle divider are thinly but completely covered. Place cheese slices over batter. Add sauerkraut onto cheese leaving a thin margin around edge. Place corned beef over sauerkraut. Spread additional batter over filling until it reaches the top of the square projections on the waffle tongs. Close waffle maker and flip. Cook for 7 to 8 minutes. Remove stuffed waffle to plate and serve with Thousand Island dressing.
*Waffle, pancake, or all-purpose baking mixes can be substituted for Caraway Waffle Batter recipe. Prepare as directed on package. Add 1 teaspoon caraway seed to batter. Yield may vary depending on mix used.
