• 1 pound fresh green beans
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • Vegetable oil for frying*
  • 1 egg
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 tablespoons yellow cornmeal
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons seasoned salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper

Steam green beans for 4 minutes. Transfer to bowl and cover with cold water. Drain and pat dry.

Preheat oil in Presto® Electric Deep Fryer. If using an adjustable thermostat deep fryer, set at 375°. Beat milk and egg in a small bowl. Mix flour, cornmeal, salt, and pepper. Toss green beans in flour mixture, shaking off excess. Dip green beans in milk/egg mixture and then back into the flour mixture, shaking off excess.

Fry green beans until golden brown and crispy, about 2 minutes. Drain on paper towels. Serve warm with sauce of choice.
