Sloppy Joes
4 servings (serving size 1/2 cup)
- 1 pound lean ground beef
- 2/3 cup ketchup
- 1/3 cup tomato sauce
- 1/3 cup chopped green pepper
- 1/4 cup chopped onion
- 1/4 cup water
- 2 teaspoons Worcestershire sauce
- 2 teaspoons prepared mustard
- 1 teaspoon packed brown sugar
- 4 hamburger buns, split
Preheat Presto® Electric Skillet at 350°. Brown beef until no longer pink. Remove to a medium bowl. Reduce heat to 300° and add onion and pepper. Sauté until onion is translucent. Return beef to skillet and add ketchup, water, Worcestershire, mustard, and brown sugar. Bring mixture to a boil. Reduce heat to simmer, between Warm and 200°; cook covered for 25 to 30 minutes. Divide sloppy joe mix equally between 4 hamburger buns.
