  • 6 ears fresh sweet corn, peeled and cleaned
  • 4 quarts water

Bring water to a boil in a large pot. Add ears of corn and boil for 4 minutes. Remove corn and reserve 1/2 cup of cooking water. Discard remaining water. Place a small rectangular rack in the Nomad® 6- or 8-quart cooking pot. Pour cooking water into pot. Place corn on rack, close cover, and set to WARM for up to 4 hours.

Cooking Variation: To prepare corn on cob using only the Nomad® 6- or 8-quart slow cooker, place a rectangular rack in the bottom of the pot and add ears of corn. Pour 3 cups boiling water over corn. The water level should be just below the rack. Close the cover and cook on HIGH 2 1/2 to 3 hours. For a crisper texture, cook only 2 1/2 hours. Corn will hold in Nomad® for 1 1/2 hours.
