Spiced Snack Mix

  • 1/4 cup powdered sugar
  • 3/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground ginger
  • 1 tablespoon vegetable oil or butter*
  • 3 quarts popped popcorn
  • 1/2 cup candy coated chocolate pieces
  • 1/2 cup dry roasted peanuts or cashews

Combine powdered sugar, cinnamon, and ginger in a small bowl; set aside. Using a Presto® Popcorn Popper, prepare popcorn with or without oil as directed in the popper’s instruction manual. Transfer popped popcorn to a larger bowl. While popcorn is still warm, sprinkle sugar/spice mixture over popcorn, tossing well. Add candy and nuts; toss again.

Makes about 12 cups

*Preparation Tip: If popcorn has been popped without oil, it will be necessary to drizzle vegetable oil or melted butter on popped popcorn for seasoning to adhere.
