Garlic Shrimp and Peppers Pizza

  • 8 ounces well-chilled Mozzarella cheese
  • 2 ounces Asiago or room temperature Parmesan cheese
  • 1/2 each red, yellow, and green bell pepper
  • 1 12-inch (16-ounce) ready-made Italian bread/pizza shell
  • 1/2 cup prepared pizza sauce
  • 1 pound medium uncooked shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil, preferably extra-virgin
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced

 

Heat oven to 450°F. Fit SaladShooter® electric slicer/shredder with Shredding Cone. Shred Mozzarella cheese into a medium bowl and Asiago cheese into a small bowl. Cut the bell pepper halves into quarters. Fit SaladShooter® electric slicer/shredder with Slice Cone, stack pepper slices in the food chamber and slice into a medium bowl. Stir-fry shrimp in oil with garlic in a large skillet over medium-high heat 2 minutes. Add pepper strips; continue to stir-fry 1 to 2 minutes or until shrimp are cooked through. Place bread shell on baking sheet. Spread pizza sauce evenly over bread shell, add shrimp and peppers; top with Mozzarella and Asiago cheeses. Bake 12 to 14 minutes or until cheese is melted and crust is golden brown. Cut into wedges.
