Spiced Snack Mix

  • 1/4 cup powdered sugar
  • 3/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground ginger
  • 1 to 2 tablespoons vegetable oil, optional*
  • 1/3 cup popcorn
  • 1/2 cup candy coated chocolate pieces
  • 1/2 cup dry roasted peanuts or cashews

In a small bowl, combine powdered sugar, cinnamon, and ginger; set aside. Using a Presto® Popcorn Popper, prepare popcorn with or without oil as directed in the popper’s instruction manual. Transfer popped popcorn to a larger bowl. While popcorn is still warm, sprinkle sugar/spice mixture over popcorn, tossing well. Add candy and nuts; toss again.

Makes about 12 cups

*Preparation Tip: Adding vegetable oil (or butter) to popcorn is not necessary, but it does allow the sugar and spice mixture to adhere better to the popcorn.
