ANNUAL STOCKHOLDERS MEETING OF
NATIONAL PRESTO INDUSTRIES, INC. HELD MAY 21, 2002

Eau Claire, Wisconsin (May 22, 2002) -- National Presto Industries, Inc. (NYSE: NPK) shareholders reelected James F. Bartl and Michael J. O’Meara to new three-year terms as directors at the May 21, 2002, annual stockholders meeting. In addition, an array of newly styled products for 2002 was shown to shareholders at the meeting.

Presto’s 2002 new product styling features ergonomic handles and the aesthetically appealing combination of curved and straight surfaces that are currently in vogue. Restyled products include 11” and 16” Presto® electric fry pans, and 19” and 22” Presto® electric griddles, all with detachable Control Master® heat controls. In addition, a newly styled Kitchen Kettle™ multi-cooker with a magnetically detachable cord was shown. These products will all be available for shipment in the second half of 2002.

National Presto manufactures and sells small household electric appliances and pressure cookers under the PRESTO® brand name. The Company is widely recognized as an innovator of new products.
